This immersive experience will equip you with the tools and knowledge to foster healing and growth for yourself and those you support.  Explore the art of person-centered care as we explore foundational skills such as using person-first language, promoting self-empowerment, and providing culturally responsive support.

Learn how to cultivate a recovery-oriented mindset within yourself, your work environment and empower your peer partners to create their own unique paths to wellness.  By the end of this training, you will be confident in your ability to sustain a recovery environment, inspiring and guiding others towards lasting recovery and resilience. 

Format 

Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT) 

Learning Objectives 

  • Discuss four advance level practice skills 

  • Complete a Recovery Self-assessment to measure the level of recovery practices they bring to the services they provide 

  • Define individual needs to create a Burn-Out Prevention and Recovery Maintenance Plans 

  • Identify three methods of maintaining recovery skills in non-recovery environments 

Target Audience 

Individuals who have successfully completed a peer support certification course and have a minimum of 3 months peer support employment or volunteer experience since training

Advanced 

Continuing Education Credit 

Attendees are encouraged to present the certificate of completion to their State Peer Certification Board for eligibility. 

Technical Requirements 

Each applicant must have access to an internet-connected computer equipped with a functional webcam, microphone, and speakers that can all remain in use throughout the entirety of training.
