Peer Support has quickly become an important part of behavioral health and integrated care services. Learning how to best utilize peer supporter services on your teams will achieve the best outcomes. RI International’s Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor Training inspires leaders on multiple levels. Over the course of two days, Supervisor Training will increase understanding of how to work with a peer support workforce and guide them to continue to develop skills with a recovery focus as they join your teams. This fast-paced and interactive training will provide many tools for you to use as you coach, guide, and grow your teams.

Format:

Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT) 

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss multiple recovery tools to use with your staff and workforce including the Solution Planner, Professional Development Plan, Guidelines for Giving and Receiving Feedback, Recovery Coaching Wheel, Recovery Language guidelines, and more  

  • Examine guidelines for a productive coaching process with peer support and other employees  

  • Identify effective guidelines to use with staff who are not meeting performance standards  

  • Describe how to develop stronger recovery-focused environments in your organization

Target Audience:

Clinicians, Peer Support Specialists, and other leaders who currently supervise or aspire to be a supervisor of a Peer Support Workforce.

Continuing Education Credit: 

Attendees are encouraged to present the certificate of completion to their State Peer Certification Board for eligibility.
