Description

Wellness in the Workplace is a 4-hour interactive training designed to provide Certified Peer Support Providers (CPSSs) with practical strategies to promote wellness in the workplace. The focus will be on identifying essential coping skills, understanding workplace challenges, and creating a supportive culture that prioritizes the wellbeing of all employees, particularly peer support specialists.

By the end of the training, CPSSs will be equipped with tools to enhance their personal wellness and resilience, build a wellness-driven work environment, and provide support to themselves, peer partners and their colleagues. 

Format 

Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT) 

Learning Objectives 

  • Examine the structure of “recovery language 

  • Identify what to say and what not to say 

  • Expand your non-verbal language skills 

  • Explore recovery language through different lenses 

  • Practice “stage” matched recovery language 

Target Audience 

Anyone who is working in the behavioral health field.

Technical Requirements 

Each applicant must have access to an internet-connected computer equipped with a functional webcam, microphone, and speakers that can all remain in use throughout the entirety of training.
