The Applied Ethics and Safety (ELI) Training is designed to deepen Certified Peer Support Specialists' understanding and application of ethical principles within behavioral health settings. This training aims to refresh and expand participants' skills in making sound ethical decisions, foster a safe and supportive environment for both themselves and their peer partners, and positively impact their peers, colleagues, and the broader community. Participants will learn to navigate ethical challenges with confidence, ensuring the well-being and empowerment of all involved.

Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT)
Learning Objectives

Define terms: “Ethics,” "Compliance" and “Ethical Competence”

Review standards and principles relevant to peer support

Identify ethical challenges experienced by CPSS’s

Outline a model for resolving ethical dilemmas

Provide an opportunity to create a personal Code of Ethics

Anyone who is working in the behavioral health field.

Technical Requirements
Each applicant must have access to an internet-connected computer equipped with a functional webcam, microphone, and speakers that can all remain in use throughout the entirety of training.
